Company history
Rocky Mountain Childproofing, LLC was created in 2007 as a result of first hand knowledge of at-home injuries in which simple precautions and proper supervision could have prevented. The company's owner, Dan Wilson, is a full time Firefighter with the Denver Fire Department. The Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician background gives Rocky Mountain Childproofing insider knowledge of situations in which injuries occur due to poor decisions, poor precautions, and poor supervision.
Unfortunately, children are often victims of a lack of childproofing. As with most accidents, paying more attention to actions and environment go a long way preventing the accident in the first place. If you have read a local paper recently, you had probably seen stories of children pushing through screens and falling multiple floors from unsecured windows or of a 15 month old being narrowly saved from drowing in a 5 gallon bucket by his older siblings. These things happen all the time, but why? These are absolutely preventable!
For these reasons and many more, Rocky Mountain Childproofing, LLC was envisioned. Prior to launching, Dan invested time and money to travel to the Los Angeles area to work with a successful childproofing company that has been in business for over 17 years. As well as being a professional first responder, Dan Wilson is the father of two boys, now teen agers, which brings in a whole new set of safety issues. Rocky Mountain Childproofing has an intimate knowledge of the simple measures and precautions that can be taken to reduce the possibility of injury.
Rocky Mountain Childproofing, LLC is a proud member of the International Association for Child Safety, a nationally recognized organization of professional childproofers.
Remember, no amount of childproofing can substitute proper, adult supervision!!!!

Dan Wilson
Dan's background has always had a focus of public service. He was raised by a police family whose goal was not only on the safety of their immediate family but also the safety of their community. Dan started his career as a military man in the Air Force and after traveling the world setting up communication sites, he found himself with his family in Colorado Springs serving at NORAD in Cheyenne Mountain. After transitioning from the Air Force, Dan worked with Qwest Commnications for many years managing a nationwide communications system until the call to serve the community as a professional Firefighter came about. Since that time, Dan has focused his firefighter carreer on prevention and safety. As the father of two teenage boys, and the friend to many growing families, his focus on community safety is deeply ingrained.
